When you apply for a deed poll, we collect:

• Personal identifiers: full name (current and new), NRIC number, date of birth, gender
• Contact information: email address, phone number, residential address
• Identity documents: photos or scans of your NRIC, Birth Certificate, or passport
• Payment information: processed securely by Stripe — we do not store card details
• For minor applications: details of both parents or legal guardians

2. How We Use Your Data

• To prepare and execute your deed poll document
• To verify your identity before signing
• To schedule and confirm your signing appointment
• To communicate with you about your application
• To comply with our legal and professional obligations as a law firm

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

• JCP Law LLC solicitors handling your matter
• Stripe, for secure payment processing
• Service providers necessary to deliver our service (e.g. email delivery)

4. Data Retention

As a law firm, we are required to retain client records for a minimum of 7 years after the completion of a matter. Identity documents are stored securely and deleted after verification unless retention is required for legal compliance.

5. Your Rights

6. Security

All data transmitted through this site is encrypted using TLS/SSL. Payment data is processed by Stripe and subject to PCI-DSS compliance. Uploaded identity documents are stored in encrypted, access-controlled storage.

7. Cookies

We use only essential session cookies necessary to operate the service. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
